- Tempered glass - Safety glass: Tempered glass, also known as toughened or thermally processed glass, is a type of safety glass that has undergone special treatment to increase its strength compared to ordinary glass. The thermal processing involves heating the glass to a high temperature and then rapidly cooling it. This creates a compression stress on the surface of the glass and a tensile stress inside, making it more resistant to impacts, thermal shocks, and scratches. It is about 5 times more impact-resistant than ordinary glass. - If you notice rust, remove it with turpentine, then apply anti-rust varnish before painting the surface with oxidation-resistant paint.
